Charlotte – David Foenkinos

I found it difficult to come into this book. It is written like a poem but it’s a prose. You can guess that something aweful will happen (story of a German Jew girl that begins in the 30′) but somehow, it took 150 pages to become interesting.

I am not really into reading about others unlucky life’s. I use to think that life is terrible enough in itself, so I prefer action and job for my brain. This book was full of romance and sadness and craziness. At the end of the reading, I feel bad by discovering one more unlucky love, broken destiny and terrible misunderstandings. During the reading I forgot a bit about this poem form thing.

Well, it depends of your tastes but this will not be the book of the year for me.
