Des pays

I was cooking and listening to some old music at the same time and I really got happy on this song:

Mano Solo, he sang for me the whole end of the 90’s and beginning of the 2000’s. What for a beautiful text he wrote there:

Il y a sûrement des pays qui valent le coup (there is for sure countries that are worth it)
Il y a sûrement des routes qui mènent un peu partout (there is for sure roads that lead everywhere)
Il y a sûrement des enfants rebondissant sur le ventre des éléphants (there is for sure kids that jump on elefants bellies)
Il y a sûrement des moutons que l’on compte à reculons (there is for sure sheeps that we count backwards)
Des océans pour serrer la pince aux crabes géants (oceans to shake hands with giant crabes)
Il y a sûrement des pandas pour ne dépendre de rien (there is for sure pandas to depend on nothing)
Et des pourquoi pas qui durent jusqu’à demain (and “why” that don’t last until tomorrow)
Il y a sûrement des serpents charmeurs à qui faire confiance (there is for sure charming snakes that you can trust)
Militants pour l’abolition de la souffrance (which are militing for the abolition of suffering)
Et des lions qui ronronnent en canon (and lions that are purring in canon)
Il y a sûrement du vent qui te rentre entre les dents (there is for sure wind that is coming in between your teeth)

Petit à petit mon appétit grandit de découvrir la vie (slowly, my appetite is getting bigger to discover the life)

Il y a sûrement des yeux noirs au blanc d’ivoire (there is for sure black eyes in ivory white)
Qui te racontent mille histoires (that are telling you thousand stories)
Et des pays sans violence où vivre une éternelle enfance (and countries without violence where you can live an unending childhood)
Des pays où le grand air fait vibrer la moindre prière (countries where the big air is making vibrating the most little prayer)
Des précipices où ne pas faire attention (precipices where you don’t need to be careful)
Des centaines de pistes qui ne mènent pas au béton (thousand of paths that don’t take you into concrete)
Des moussons déversant de douces illusions (Monsoons that are flowing down sweet desillusions)
Des inondations pour noyer les têtes de cons (floods to drown idiots)
Il y a sûrement des lumières pour ne pas prendre ombrage (there is for sure lights not to be in the shadows)
Devant la lune si fière de montrer ses avantages (from a so light moon so proud to show its advantages)
Des chiens qui gaiement t’ouvrent ton chemin (dogs that show you your big path)
Et des malandrins qui jamais ne te volent jamais rien (and malandrins that never steal you anything)

Petit à petit mon appétit grandit de découvrir la vie (slowly, my appetite is getting bigger to discover the life)

Des inondations pour noyer les têtes de cons. Fabulous! A wonderful text. Then I don’t really know what he says that a country like that cannot be Sweden. I have no idea if he was just saying that during the show for fun, but it may be a reason. Does anyone know out there? K maybe?
