Day 4 at preschool

Z is making her fourth day at the preschool .

We are testing our way to the preschool with the bike. The preschool is on tje top of the hill, so we have to swest, undepending of the road we take. We tried a longer road but with a nicer slope, but both M and I needed to walk and push the bike up (frozen speed on my bike) so it took 25 min. And this road had a long around because of a dangerous crossing from another Road. So not optimal .

This morning, I tried a more direct road, with a big slope. I walked this slope up and totally, it took only 15 min, so very worth it!

When we arrived at school , the kids were outside so Z and I staid outside as well. She wants to explore a lot, but it’s difficult for her to make it on her own with all the clothes she has on and the snow on the floor.

Then, when it was time to get inside,  the kids got fruits and I went in a separate room for an hour. I’ll come back with her for lunch,  hope it will be OK.

This is a very new everyday life for all of us now. I hope Z will enjoy it._20180222_101105.JPG

First week at the kindergarten

Today is my first day with Z at the kindergarten .she already began on Monday, but M went with her. The first two weeks ,we will be there with her to help her integration in this new environment .

The first days went well, I think she needs it right now. She needs her context ,with her own friends and adults around that are not her parents.

This is a big change in our habbits at home. We won’t spend so much time in our appartement anymore since we will be at work or at school . This may be less to clean but it means also less time together .

A little reading before to go, let’s bicycle to kindergarten now!

Next last Thursday

One week since I wrote something on here and this is representative from my life right now: the essential .

This week was a “long” week for work, meaning I was working three days. It was long days since I had to be at several places at the same time, so work over. Z had s hard week with the big teeth from behind coming out. M had a hard week with her being bad. And I spent so little time with them.

There are only two weeks left with Z at home. Soon, she will be going to kindergarten and the first two weeks, M or I will be with her, as the procedure tells. 13 months old and away from us for most of the hours of her awake time. Somehow this is hard, but I know this time comes much sooner in France. Z needs to meet more of her similar . She needs to get other inspiration than from us and we need our almost normal salary.

But for today ,we will spend time with the mammas. It has been a long time since we were all together .

Mokira – Andreas Tilliander

Tonight, it was show night for the family L-M. Andreas Tilliander was playing at the Uppsala castle. I tried to call several times today to hear if it was OK to come with a kid, but no-one answered . M came back earlier as usual from work, Z and I weren’t tired, so we decided to give it a try. At worse, we would have to go back home.

So we walked to the castle. Z was wondering why she was not going to go to bed after dinner, but she was curious about the destination . M bought two glasses of wine and I tried to follow Z who walked through the whole place before the concert . I was nervous that she wouldn’t stay calm. When the artist came on stage and began to play ,we put on Z her ears protection and put ger in the baby carrier . After a little bit if watching (cool film playing on the walll behind Andreas who was playing ), Z felt asleep .

When the lights were turned on at the end , she woke up. She staid awake during the walk home and after Pj time, she felt nicely asleep in her bed again.

When we were at the concert, I was thinking that we couldn’t have it better in our family . Everyone is healthy, makes something cool/useful during the days and we’re living in a city giving this kind of opportunities to cultural events. I had my lovely girl sleeping on my chest and my adorable husband on my side. What could I wish for more? Nothing . Absolutely nothing !
