Yes, this is the color there. Bier, sun and french fries. Everything is yellow, so forget all the orange when they play soccer. This is for sure somehting they found to distract the foreigners.
On friday, i went to the airport at Linköping and believe me, you kan hardly imagnie that you will land to the 4th biggest airport in Europe, schipol airport, that they prounouce schrrrrripol airport.

I arrived one hour before my friend P, so i decided to try a little of the yellow. And believe it or not, the bier there follows the laws of gravitation. Almost the half of this glas landed on my jeans, the only pair i had with me for the week end. No way, it would ruined my stay!

Then, my friend came, we took the train to the main train station and walked to our hotel, which was located closed to the Dam place. Like in the middle of the town. The guy at the reception was making fun of my accent after only 2 sentences in english, pretty rude, but we checked in in a good mood and went out to eat directly.
The restaurant of the night was really cosy, and the service really nice. Actually, this is a common thing to all the places we visited for a drink or some food: people working there are really nice to customers. The restaurant, with a name impossible to prounouce, was really nice, i recommend it to people goind to Amsterdam and willing to eat something easy in a special mood. No reservation there, so be ready to take a drink at the bar before to enjoy their good food.

We were really tired on saturday morning but we took ourselves up and went downtown for some walking before a massage.

Oho you noticed how good the quality of the picture is, right? no one of us had her real camera with us, so it was phonepictures. I hope you enjoy their natural and the lack of photoshop ;)
The weather was not really with us on saturday, not even on sunday, since it was raining, snowing and sunshining at the same time.
On saturday evening, we went to a little bar, in which only dutch biers were served. Miam i tell you!

After this little apéritif, we headed to a really nice restaurant, De Behamel, with art deco as main theme for the decoration. It had been a really long time i had such a rafinated three courses dinner, of course accompagnated with sweet wines. during the dinner, i decided it would be my last of this kind until my jeans from spring 2011 fit on my ass.
So i really enjoid the dinner!
On sunday, we went downtown for some more shopping and we also visited the FOAM, which is the museum of photography in Amsterdam. The exhibitions were not that exceptional but it was a pleasant building to walk in and best of all, when we went outside, the sun was shining again.

Then, it was slowly time to take the direction of the airport. Actually, i am not sure we made it all right with the train ticket and so, but we had som big laugh when the conductor told the train passangers that we arrived to Schipol. The guy was like shouting it as if it was party! P went back to France 2 hours before my flight took off to Linköping and these 2 hourse were pretty long to kill. Specially when you spent the week end talking about girly things, telling your best gfriend that you are in love and telling how much you feel for this awesome guy made you just feel how much you miss him. // romantical post
But Amsterdam, yes, nice choice if you want to be in a capitale without feeling the rush. There are almost no car in the center, so it feels really calm, even if people are everywhere. Nice shops, litlle cafés everywhere, it was the perfect destination for our purposes. Thanks P for this time and thanks Amsterdam for the warm welcome!
Song of the day:
Come on, oh my star is fading
And I swerve out of control
If I, if I’d only waited
I’d not be stuck here in this holeCome here, oh my star is fading
And I swerve out of control
And I swear I waited and waited
I’ve got to get out of this holeBut time is on your side
It’s on your side now
Not pushing you down and all around
It’s no cause for concernCome on, oh my star is fading
And I see no chance of release
And I know I’m dead on the surface
But I am screaming underneathAnd time is on your side
Is on your side; It’s on your side now
Not pushing you down, and all around
No it’s no cause for concernStuck on the end of this ball and chain
And I’m on my way back down again
Stood on a bridge, tied to the noose
Sick to the stomach
You can say what you mean
But it won’t change a thing
I’m sick of the secrets
Stood on the edge, tied to the nooseYou came along and you cut me loose
