I spent a wonderful week end in Helsinki, for the wedding of a friend. It was a real adventure and I enjoid every moment!
from the train at Södertälje on Friday evening
turn your screen and you will see a nice light at Arlanda airport on saturday morning. The time i spent making pictures, i had to run it back to the right gate later…
the landscapes were wonderful on the way to Finland
View from my hotel, very central, practical!
I arrived in Helsinki around 12, very practical and cheap to go from the airport to the center btw. I ordered a taxi, prepared myself and felt like it was going to be my own wedding except that i was missing a man. Important to notice that i just knew the bride and no one else there.
it felt really strange to sit in a big black mercedes driving through the streets alone. But i came to a magnific place close to the water and the wedding began short after. We were a little more than hundrer people if i counted well and everyone was very kind to talk english to me :) i did not get a lot from all the speaches, but i had to cry when one parents talked and cried. The food was delicious, the mood even more and we finished the night in some night club in the center. It was kind of funny for me to get back to the hotel: i knew the half of the name and had no clue about where the night club was, so i walked a little so, without shoes since the were hurting and finally took a cab that drove me like 500m from where i was. The night was short and hangover felt quite obvious the morning after. I met a friend for a nice cup of tea and then it was time to fly back to Sweden. I also had the chance to meet another friend in Stockholm, helping me waiting for my train home.
You may imagine that i slept very well the last night and will make it too tonight!! well… too tired to put other pictures for today. Just remember that weddings in Finland rule!
