Eftertaxering

Swedes have a big love for everything that is “in ordnung“. Everything has to be done as it has to. Period.

This monday, I had to post four letters to different friends in Germany and France. Yes, you know real letters that I wrote on papper with a pen, going in a real envelopp where you write your own adress on the back and make a cross on it and stuff. I only had five stamps left from 6 krones left. You have to put 12 krones for a letter. Isn’t that the price of my ass-skin?

Anyway, on monday morning, I thought that ok, one letter would have their 12 krones and the three others would have 6 and it will go very good as well.
Today, I received (sure it was a special delivery btw) a “eftertaxering” brev with following message:

We made a controll and we found a letter from you with too litle porto. We are begging you to pay the porto before the 30thof may.
Notes: two letters
Total right amount: 24 kr
porto: 12 kr
unpaid amount: 12 kr
expeditionsamout: 30 kr

So they catched 2 of the 3 letters which did not have enough stamps. And this is costing me 42 kr extra now. Really, I tell you. Nobody write real letters anymore, with love and feelings in them. Nobody but me. What for a shit!

But now that i think a litle harder, next time, I won’t write my adress on the back. I am not sure that they would tax the letter in France or Germany. But What the f***?!?! Really…. Swedes….
