it is sunday, I am sitting on my couch, watching popcirkus from this week on replay and the french Sébastien Tellier is one of the guests.
For the record, he was singing for France at the Eurovision song contest last year. Already last year, I did not understand why every swede had som much enjoyment for him. OK, every swede has a looooooooot of enjoyment with all what is going aroung the Eurovision song contest – for proof all these destroid saturday evenings on the TV with the competitions for “who will represent Sweden this year” and all the bullshit going around this. Can you feel how i am tired of it?
Well, where did I want to go? ah yes, Sébastien Tellier! It may have been too long now that I don’t live in France anymore, but I NEVER heard of him before the ESC last year. Ok his song was funny, I admit but how many of the non-french people did get that it was only a big JOKE?! ahah well, not much because at popcirkus, every questions were about the ESC.
I cannot get it either that someone touring abroad quite a lot has that borken english either. Sébastien, with all my respect, is talking english like a 5th grade student, or maybe even worse…
This is funny too to see how the humor are incompatible between people on the popcirkus there. Name of the
festival: sex-u (from Sébastien) addition from Laleh: in your dreams. ahaha it remembered me the Gaisnbourg thing with Withney Houston, but a way nicer here on popcirkus.
then, it was a pretty good version of “genie in a bottle” from Christian Waltz (around the 30th minute),
funny to see how “good” artists (are they bad artists?”) are covering songs from pop people like Christina Aiguillera and Britney Spears. I think of the Toxic from Yael Naim. Yeah, take a simpel guitar and sings a pop song 5 years after it was given out and the song is good now, though every one puked on it during the first 5 years. I mean, no respect for the original artist.
